One addiction for the other

I think I've drank like 12 cups of coffee today, or a quarter of a full instant coffee jar. That's a lot of coffee. The caffeine rush is so similar to being drunk that I think I can replace my alcoholism with caffeine. See what I did there? I replaced cutting with alcoholism, and now I replace alcoholism with caffeine. Still better though, right? I mean every other person over 20 is more or less addicted to to it, and it's nothing weird about it. It's socially acceptable, and a bit more healthy... I think. Sure won't destroy my liver anyway, right?

But drinking 12 cups every day might be a little over the top. But then I could actually bring my substance of choice with me everywhere, and indulge in it, in public. Every addicts dream: no hiding necessary. Am I right!? Do I really not have any friends that are addicted to something, by the way? Except for coffee, fast food and video games, I mean. I've been a caffeine junkie before, you know. I brought a termous full of extra strong, extra everything coffee with me everywhere, constantly sipping or gulping it, for about six months.

"Extra everything -coffee" as I use to say is kind of like this: Take a large mug, pour up about two thirds of it with hot water and fill it with so much instant coffee powder that you can barely stir it. Then add sugar so to the point that you actually can't stir it. Fill up with cream and milk, so much that the drink is now also cold. Throw it in the microwave to restore the heat. Drink and enjoy! Or eat it with a spoon works fine too. Sometimes I also refer it to as "kaffuccino", toying with the idea of a poor man's cappuccino.

It's both a caffeine and a sugar kick at once, and that is pretty dazzling. And with all the cream and milk I find it very easy to drink, almost a bit like a White Russian, which by the way is my favourite drink! Never thought about the likeness before. My coffee with sugar and cream - my drink with coffee liqueur, cream and vodka. If I'd throw in some vodka in that insanely strong coffee with insanely high sugar content and sweap it... heaven?
